About Sugar

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Rabbit
  • Current Age: 3 Years 1 Month (best estimate)
  • Housetrained: Yes

What's a bunny to do when her family has to move overseas? In the case of Sugar and her housemate Jack, a kind neighbor stepped in and offered to take them. It's a good thing, because otherwise Jack and Sugar would have found themselves at the local SPCA - and that's a very stressful place for gentle, sensitive animals like rabbits.

Jack and Sugar's new family loved them dearly, but their dog did not. The dog is a terrier and viewed the rabbits as prey. When things became too risky in the house, Jack and Sugar were moved to the garage for their own safety. Knowing that a garage isn't a proper environment for beloved family pets, the family called ACDC to help them find the two rabbits a more suitable home. Jack and Sugar were kept separately, so they do not need to be adopted together.

Sugar is as sweet as her name indicates. She loves to stretch out in a nice cozy lap for petting, and she is very loving and gentle. This 3-year-old dwarf English Spot has beautiful coloring and big brown eyes. She is accustomed to having kids around since her former family had 3 children, and she seems to like everyone, young and old alike. She is playful, active and friendly, and her owner described her as "so much fun - and the most bright-eyed bunny you'll ever see!"

Sugar would thrive in a loving, attentive home with people who would enjoy spending lots of time interacting with her. In return, she will soak up and appreciate every bit of attention. Sure sounds like a win-win proposition to us!
